The City is now seeking a Project and Asset Manager to lead the City’s engineering, capital projects, asset management and facilities maintenance team.
Project and Asset Manager
As Project and Asset Manager, you will coordinate engineering and project management services, provide technical expertise and input on the planning, design, tendering, construction, supervision and administration of projects in support of capital and departmental infrastructure initiatives and will take a lead role in the development, implementation and administration of a lifecycle management plan including a capital forecast for all major lifecycle expenditures for City assets.
You will commit to providing a high level of public service, will continually strive for new and more effective approaches to fulfilling the department’s mandate and strategic objectives, and will ensure that the City continuously promotes a sustainable quality of life for its residents while delivering services in a highly efficient, innovative and cost-effective manner.
You will bring a successful track record of leading complex projects within a multifarious stakeholder environment and the ability to conceptualize the nature and evolution of advancing a project within the complexities of a public sector environment. You are adept at working cross functionally and with contractors, developers, elected officials and the Dryden business community to further promote sustainable living and significant infrastructure renewal.
Ideally, your preparation includes:
- a bachelor’s degree in civil, mechanical, electrical, or structural engineering and registration as a licensed Professional Engineer in Ontario.
- certified Asset Management or Project Management Designation or willingness to attain.
- several years experience:
- in engineering, asset management, capital project management
- of supervisory experience within a municipal setting
- a valid Class “G” driver’s license.
