Compugen is seeking a Project Manager for an initial 6 month contract.
Responsibilities:
Looking for a champion for Project Management and Agile best-practices but are flexible and can adjust your processes to fit your project team and clients’ needs. The Sr. PM must be comfortable wearing multiple hats and acting as a Scrum Master. Can manage budgets, timelines, and client expectations with ease. A problem solver, and a “big picture” thinker while digging into the details. The ideal candidate will be solution-driven and able to handle multiple fast-paced projects while managing multiple teams and communicating with leadership.

• Responsible for leading large and high risk/complex projects,
• working with business unit and technology leaders, cross functional teams, project team members and external parties to ensure projects are well-defined, planned and delivered.
• Develop and manage all aspects of project and program engagement from planning, external vendor relationships, communications, resources, budget, change, risks, and issues.
• Determines and establishes the appropriate program/project organizational and work breakdown structures (e.g., projects, workstreams) to accomplish program outcomes.
• Communicates routinely to management, customers, project team members, and other stakeholders, actively soliciting and addressing customer and project team feedback.
• Monitors project level issues and risks and ensures relevant sub-project issues are exposed at the program level. Facilitates resolution of core issues between multiple executive stakeholders where required.
• Provide required project documentation to sponsor, executives, and project team members, including project status, scope definition, project charters, detailed project management plans with schedule of key milestones, issue logs, budget tracking reports, weekly status reports and risk assessments/contingency plans.

Requirements:

• 7+ years of progressive project management experience, handling multiple projects in the range of $250K - $2MM and/or 5 years of experience managing large programs and portfolios ranging from $1MM to $5MM
• Experienced with Agile Scrum or Kanban methodology of project management.
• Ability to function as a scrum master fostering a self-organization and collaborative scrum team; sheltering the team from outside distractions to keep focus mainly on the agreed sprint goals.
• Excellent and effective communication skills.
• Effective time management and the ability to prioritize based on the needs of the team.
• A can-do attitude, a passion for digital products, and the resilience to work in a flexible and fast-paced environment.
• Demonstrable critical thinking, creative problem solving, and willingness to take on complex challenges.
• Proven track record in fostering partnership experience with clients and stakeholders.
• Ability to diplomatically navigate complex and controversial discussions and de-escalate difficult situations.
• Prior experience working in an Agile environment.
