EXTERNAL VACANCY

DEPARTMENT:REGIONAL EARLY INTERVENTION IN PSYCHOSIS (REIP)

POSITION: ONE (1) TEMPORARY FULL TIME PROJECT SPECIALIST

SALARY: $33.49 (MIN) - $41.04 (MAX)

SITE NBRHC-NORTH BAY OR KIRKWOOD SITE

HOURS: DAYS


QUALIFICATIONS

Education:

Minimum Bachelor’s degree

Formal education or experience in health/social science field, such as Nursing, Social Work, Psychology,
Health Studies, Recreation Studies, Sociology, etc. an asset

Education or experience in project oversight, communications an asset

Certificates/Experience/Knowledge:

Training/certification in Geriatrics/Gerontology considered an asset.
Lean Certification and/or equivalent Quality Improvement Facilitation certification to support change

management required.

Experience working within a healthcare setting with a focus on Early Psychosis

Knowledge of fundamental evidence-based best practices in EPI, eg Navigate Model

Background knowledge and understanding of Ontario’s health system and current health matters
required.

Skills/Abilities:

Experience and demonstrated skills in project planning, execution, dissemination, and evaluation using
various project management tools (Gantt Charts, dashboards, work plans) required.

Experience and demonstrated skills in quality improvement and program evaluation required.
Advanced knowledge to practice facilitation and presentation skills in alignment with adult learning

principles required.

Demonstrated ability to develop effective engagement and dissemination strategies for REIP clinical best
practices, tools, reports, and other products required.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills required.
Advanced skills in the retrieval and appraisal of academic articles via research databases required.
Excellent computer skills and thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel,

PowerPoint and Outlook) and basic graphic design required.

Experience in supporting the execution of videoconference meetings and webinars (Zoom), including the
development of meeting agendas and minutes required.

Knowledge and application of social media policies and ethical conduct in the management of social
media profiles required.

Must demonstrate commitment to ensure personal safety, safety of fellow workers, patients, volunteers,
and visitors

Ability to support and contribute to a culture of safety and prevention of adverse health events required
Good attendance and work record is required.
Bilingualism (English/ French) is required. All unilingual candidates are encouraged to apply and may be

considered if the identified French requirement has been met or there are no successful bilingual candidates. A
formal French test will be conducted to evaluate the proficiency level.

providing acute care services to North Bay and its surrounding communities, functioning as the district referral

centre providing specialist services for smaller communities in the area, and it’s the specialized mental health

service provider serving all of northeast Ontario. At more than 400 beds, our state-of-the-art regional health centre

has over 150 physicians, 2300 employees and 250 volunteers.
