Project Specialist- Product Innovation:
The Project Specialist is responsible for coordinating and monitor scope, schedule, and budget of projects for the Product Innovation team. The successful candidate will have project management skillset, strong attentional to detail and the ability to manage and build strong relationships to ensure a productive working environment with a diverse group of internal and external stakeholder. As an exceptional communicator, the Project Specialist will play an integral role in establishing and improving existing processes and templates. This is an exciting opportunity to manage different technology projects that will have a significant impact on the business.
Please note this is a contractual opportunity for 11-months.
The position is hybrid. Office based work will be based out of our Ambler Drive location.
Responsibilities
  • Project Management - Assists with and coordinates the project management process by creating detailed project plans, including timelines, resource allocation, and budget estimates. Assists with leading project meetings and ensure schedule, deliverables, milestones and overall health of project is on track. Identifies and clearly communicates expectations to team members and stakeholders through the course of the project. Ensures that all team members are aligned and working towards a common goal. Identifies and manages project risks, such as regulatory issues, freight, or certifications. Assists with creating financial models used to support product selection and determine project value. Ensures quality control processes are completed for all projects, such as testing and inspections, to meet quality standards implementation, market needs and expectations. Maximizes use of project management software to ensure efficient management and communication. Prepares materials, attends, leads and participates in internal and external meetings. Undertakes other project tasks as required.
  • Relationship Management - Collaborates with other project team members to deliver projects that support business objectives, primarily focused on customer, market, and technology innovation. Builds collaborative relationships with stakeholders to accomplish the objectives of each project and the role effectively and efficiently. Sources promotional materials and vendors, provides quotes and makes recommendations. Provides feedback to the supplier regarding market conditions, expectations, and recommend changes.
  • Administration - Provides administrative support by preparing regular project report updates based on market data and additional information on the product/project. Performs key administrative task such as procurement processes, internal transfers, vendor on-boarding, payment processing, creation of agreements and change requests. Performs general administrative responsibilities to support the project management process.
  • Product Management - Provides support to existing businesses managed by the team. Works with Marketing department to assist with the development of product materials and processes for sales. Helps coordinate exhibits, customer presentations, product launches and internal events.
  • Market Research - Reviews and analyzes market research to keep current on market trends and other conditions affecting products such as economic, demographic, competitor information, dealer and distributor specific profiling, market size, penetration, marketing practices, and sales trends.
The Successful Candidate Will Have
  • Community College – 2 years certificate or diploma.
  • 2 years of related work experience.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is preferred.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills required to customize solutions from various options.
  • Strong internal and external relationship building and influencing skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work within tight deadlines and budgets.
