Job description

The Canada Homes for Rent family is expanding and we are seeking a motivated individual to join our team.

The duties of the Property Manager fall into 3 Sub-Categories. Property Administration, Tenant Relations and light maintenance. The following outlines the basic requirements of each sub-category.

1) Property Administration:

• Property Inspections
• Work Orders
• Follow-Ups
• Pest Control Inspections and Mitigation

2) Tenant Relations:

• Handling Tenant Complaints
• Leasing
• Rent Monitoring
• Lease Endings
• Notices to Enter Premises

4) Light Maintenance

• Changing Locks
• Light Crackfilling
• Paint touchups
• Changing Lightbulbs
• Other duties as necessary
• Necessary Paperwork

The successful candidate must be extremely team oriented and self motivated. You must possess excellent organization and time management skills. The chosen individual must be able to work flexible hours which will include some evenings/weekends and holidays due to the nature of the profession. You must have great inter-personal communication skills and be able to handle high stress situations. Clean and valid driver's license is required as well as a criminal record check. Basic computer skills are required. Any experience in Property Management would be considered an asset, as would knowledge of the rental market and Tenancy Act. Fluency in both English and French would be considered an asset. You will be provided with a company phone, car and gas card.

Salary: $38,000.00-$40,000.00 per year
