Job Title: Property Manager

Location: Chester, NS

Searching for a Property Manager in the Chester area

Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of 200+ acre multi property
• Accountable for the day to day operations while reporting to the General Manager
• Inspect and arrange maintenance of properties to meet applicable standards
• Managing up to 20 employees, submitting payroll, managing vacations and HR matters including performance assessments
• General property repairs and maintenance. Some carpentry, electrical, mechanical and landscaping experience would be an asset
• Snow removal on properties
• Manage the fleet of various work vehicles (trucks, trailers, etc.), including being responsible for making sure all vehicles are in compliance with carrying proper insurance, permits and registrations.
• Maintain a positive, productive relationship with staff
• Collect receivable accounts and handle operating expenses
• Develop and manage annual budgets by forecasting requirements and analyzing variances
• Source and build relationships with prospective suppliers and service providers

Requirements and skills

• Proven work experience as Property Manager
• Fully understanding property management and its financial aspects
• In depth knowledge of all rules and regulations surrounding property management
• Have a valid Drivers’ License
• Experience operating plough package for snow removal at properties
• Competency in MS Office and relevant databases and software
• Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHIMIS), first aid certifications and other property related certifications as required
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Well organized with excellent time management skills

Salary: $45,000.00-$55,000.00 per year
