JOB SUMMARY

The QA/QCSummer Student will assist the Quality Control Team in implementing quality control procedures and standards and support audits to ensure compliance with project specifications and industry standards.

OBJECTIVES and RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist in the implementation of quality control procedures and standards.
• Participate in site inspections and audits to ensure compliance with project specifications and industry standards.
• Support the Quality Control team in documenting inspection findings and preparing reports.
• Collaborate with project teams to identify and address quality issues and implement corrective actions.
• Assist in reviewing project documents, including plans, specifications, and contracts, to ensure quality requirements are met.
• Engage in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the quality control processes.
• Participate in training and development opportunities to deepen understanding of quality control practices in the construction industry.

REQUIRED SKILLS and PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Currently enrolled in a post-secondary program in Engineering, preferably in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, Electrical or Mining.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (i.e. Excel)
• Flexible to changing priorities and meeting deadlines.
• Self-motivated and a quick learner.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills in a fast-paced environment.
• Have reliable transportation as it is a field-based position.
• Able to successfully meet pre-employment alcohol & drug test including cannabis.
• Successful candidate must provide criminal record clearance from local RCMP.
• Able to communicate clearly and effectively in English, both verbally and in writing
• Must be immediately eligible/able to work in Canada.
• Must be fit for duty.
• Safety tickets required: H2S Alive, CSO, CSTS, WHMIS 2015

Travel & Schedule

• Working up to 12hrs per day; 14/7 rotating schedule.
• Travel Allowance and/or camp accommodation may be provided.
