What is the Opportunity?
RBC is seeking to hire QE Automation Specialist for RBC Caribbean technology. As a QE Automation Specialist you will be responsible for creating Test automation scripts for a card application, 2 core banking systems and POS and ATM channels using various transactions simulators such as Wince, TestLab 3.0 and VTS. Opportunities are endless in this area. Our group has 2 core banking systems, a card system, digital channels(Web, iOS and Android) and physical channels (ATM and POS).
What will you do?
Accountable for Driving Automation and automated test case creation and execution, maximizing automation for all project deliverables and common quality activities.
Responsible for developing and executing automated test plans for ecosystem/program/large projects (might assume planning execution accountability
For Nonfunctional: Responsible for driving the correct nonfunctional performance and automated test activities in projects/programs
Accountable for driving quality and champion defect prevention/early defect detection
Accountable for leading a team of QE Specialists in Automation to provide the best support and automation for our test activities in projects/programs.
Execution and Operational Excellence:
Effectively communicates and builds rapport with team members, stakeholders and business partners using a variety of techniques and collaboration from initiation to close.
Resolves conflicts/issues and escalates others as appropriate.
Projects and Initiatives:
Accountable for creating medium-high complexity test cases for assigned programs/projects through the application lifecycle.
What do you need to succeed?
Must Have:
Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related (technical) degree / diploma
1-5 years of related experience
System Development Programming experience
Experience in test case design at different levels (component/service/APIs, integration, mobile, end to end/user scenarios) or non-functional testing (depending on role)
Hands on experience in script development using scripting languages (e.g., Perl, Python, Bash, etc.) and Microservice and APIs (wiremock, postman, swagger, SQL, Jenkins, Integration to CDIC pipeline)

Experience in a QA/test environment with a focus on technical, automated testing in a variety of environments (cloud, distributed or mainframe, business workflows and services/APIs, databases)
Very good communication skills; ability to focus and prioritize and solve complex technical problems
Experience in DevOps operations and test integration, processes and tools
Strong understanding of testing frameworks & methodologies (Agile Management Framework & Iterative Waterfall) and best practices
Hands on experience working with Non-Functional Testing tools (HP LoadRunner, JMeter, HP Fortify, application monitoring tools (Dynatrace, AppDynamics) , etc.)
Nice to Have:
Experience reviewing artefacts including code reviews (application and test automation scripts)
Experience with cloud solutions such as ElasticSearch and Kafka and frameworks such as Spring
Certified ISTQBE Test Automation Engineering
