Located in Gunn, Alberta, the Lakeview Recovery Community supports men living with addiction on their journey to a sustainable recovery. We deliver a full continuum of addiction recovery support in a community environment, focusing on healing and personal growth. Our goal is that individuals leave Lakeview with the life skills, tools, and resources to maintain long-term wellness and sustain recovery and having nurtured healthy relationships with friends and family.
Reporting to the Intake Manager, the Receptionist will be an organized individual who will serve as the first point of contact for clients, visitors, and staff members, providing exceptional customer service and administrative support. The receptionist’s role will be essential in creating a welcoming and organized environment for all individuals who interact with our facility.
Role-specific Accountabilities
- Greet clients, visitors, and staff members warmly and professionally as they arrive at the facility.
- Answer incoming telephone calls promptly and courteously, and direct calls to the appropriate staff members or departments.
- Ensure all visitors are aware of local procedures to ensure compliance with health and safety requirements.
- Manage the reception area, ensuring it remains clean, organized, and welcoming at all times.
- Maintain electronic and paper filing systems for client records, administrative documents, and other materials as needed.
- Process incoming and outgoing mail, including sorting, distributing, and preparing mail for shipment.
- Maintain confidentiality and discretion when handling sensitive information, including client records and personal inquiries.
- Support the wider team and community members with a variety of tasks. (or something like this!! )
Qualifications
- Education or training in office administration or customer service is preferred.
- Proven experience in general office administration and reception.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Excellent phone manners and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to interact effectively with individuals at all levels.
- Proficiency in using standard office software (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite).
- Comfortable learning and adapting to new technologies.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.
- Willingness to assist in various tasks and areas around the facility.
- Adaptability in a dynamic and evolving work environment.
- Successfully complete and pass a Vulnerable Persons Criminal Record Check prior to initiating employment and annually thereafter.
- Clearance to be on premises by the Director of Security.
