What you will be doing
1. Leads a team of account management professionals to meet or exceed organization’s revenue and growth plans.
2. This position is both a managerial role and individual contributor for the sales organization
3. Manages existing customer relationships in conjunction with the business development team to create profitable business strategies considering such factors as customer and World Courier’s vision and goals
4. Works with the Regional Sales Director to develop and implement the sales strategy in alignment with WC NorthAm
5. Develops direct reports through hiring, training, coaching and mentoring employees
6. Manages field reps in Canada to help achieve both revenue and non-revenue metrics, such as yearly reviews and associated conversations (check-ins, IDP, etc)
7. Travels to visit reps and customers throughout Canada to both promote World Courier and coach direct reports in their sales efforts
8. Resolves customer issues, identifies root cause, and takes steps to prevent similar issues from arising in the future through a method of consultative selling with the support of additional WC Business Units.
9. Partner with the Sales Support team to continually assess client needs and ensure that we are delivering value to decision support, strategic planning, and assessment of performance.
10. Coordinates regularly with key operational leaders to ensure all aspects of the client experience are communicated, aligned, transparent and consistent with the strategic growth plan
11. Partners with appropriate personnel across AmerisourceBergen sister companies to ensure alignment and open communication in our plans and activity with shared accounts and participates in cross-company business development meetings and initiatives, where appropriate.
12. Regularly monitors and analyzes industry news related to key accounts, assesses the impact to our strategic growth plan and appropriately communicates opportunities, challenges, and course-corrections.
13. Responsible for delivering sales presentations to key customers.
14. Must be willing to work extended hours, as needed, in order to meet sales objectives; must be willing to travel extensively.
15. Performs related duties as assigned.
What your background should look like
Requires broad training in fields such as business administration, sales, marketing, or similar vocations generally obtained through completion of a four year bachelor's degree program. Normally requires two-four (2-4) years directly related and progressively responsible experience preferably in the healthcare industry.
