Reservations Coordinator

Nita Lake Lodge opened in January 2008 and is a true mountain retreat. We strive to achieve our mission of 'delivering a luxury mountain lifestyle experience and provide unique and memorable moments for our guests who are at the heart of our business'. Set in Whistler Creekside on the shores of Nita Lake, the Lodge offers guests a mountain resort experience with close proximity to activities in all seasons. The property features 77 luxurious guest suites, a renowned Day Spa, two restaurants and a cafe.

The Reservations Coordinator is responsible for providing timely and professional reservation services. The Reservations Coordinator is usually the first point of contact for prospective guests and sets the tone by being friendly, knowledgeable and selling the property. The Reservations Coordinator is professional, positive, and able to maintain a calm demeanor while delivering outstanding service to our guests.

Key Responsibilities

· Responsible for entering hotel reservations, dining reservations, and spa appointments

· Process all direct and third-party reservations in a timely and efficient manner

· Process all group reservations and group rooming lists in a timely and efficient manner

· Process guests' deposits and receive payments

· Make, confirm, cancel and change reservations

· Promptly and courteously attend to telephone calls and direct as appropriate

· Provide information on hotel facilities and services

· Provide detailed information about points of interest in the area

· Competent working with minimal supervision

· Assist with coordinating and implementing special sales promotions and packages

· Contribute to a positive team atmosphere for learning & development

· Follow emergency and safety procedures

· Be an ambassador of Nita Lake Lodge and Whistler

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

· Ideal candidate will have prior hospitality/hotel experience

· Competent in Microsoft Office software (Word, Outlook, Excel etc.)

· Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment requiring multitasking

· Knowledge of property and Whistler area

· Excellent English communication skills with additional languages an asset

· Highly organized with strong attention to detail

· Guest Services focused

· Excellent phone manner

· Able to work within a team

· Accountability and dependability

· Adaptability and flexibility

Prior hospitality, tourism or customer service experience preferred as is a knowledge and passion for Whistler and all that the area has to offer! You will be able to transfer luggage from vehicle trunks to bell carts and to guest rooms, ranging up to 40lbs.

Salary: From $21.50 per hour

Expected hours: 32 – 40 per week
