Job description

You will be responsible for:

Managing all day-to-day restaurant operation, including team member management, guest interactions and vendor communications, fostering a positive work environment.

Leading a dedicated sales/ customer orientation team while managing associate relations with recruitment, on-boarding, training, associate meetings and acting as a coach, mentor.

Monitoring customer feedback and team members performance, implementing suggestions for improvement to exceed customer expectations.

Strategies for upselling for food and beverage offerings and seasonal promotions, identify opportunities to grow profit while developing and executing action plans.

Work a variety of shifts as dictated by business volumes, event bookings and other needs which also includes overseeing, In-room dining, meetings and events.

Develop entrepreneurial strategies to grow the business, industry trends and customer loyalty.

Working closely with social media designated associate with promoting the operation.

Overseeing and ensure general maintenance and cleanliness of property.

Maintaining POS system, menu engineering.

Work cohesively with the Culinary Leadership and team.

Overseeing and attendance at events and meetings, working closely with the sales and catering team.

Attending department meetings and completing as required educational requirements ensuring compliance with Marriott and Corporate Branding requirements.

Ensuring compliance with operational and brand standards are met regarding food & beverage offerings, service standards, workers compensation, liquor licensing requirements, guest experience, scheduling, inventory control, sanitation, and food safety.

Manage and analyze financial parameters and controls for all areas of the restaurant and determine business priorities which include effective control of food, beverage and labour costs, forecasting, budgeting and work closely with hotel to understand occupancy and anticipated covers, scheduling accordingly.

Ensuring compliance with operational and brand standards are met regarding food & beverage offerings, service standards, liquor licensing requirements, guest experience, scheduling, inventory, sanitation, and food safety.


You have:

Minimum 3 -4 years of food & beverage management experience, 1-2 years Restaurant General Manager experience is also preferred.

Minimum 4-6 years of foodservice experience, preferably with high-volume, full-service operations, seasonal resort experience an asset.

Knowledge forecast, budgeting, recruitment, menu engineering, insight to social media, marketing, food & beverage cost, labour controls with thorough knowledge of food & beverage products. Customer engagement, building a strong loyalty base.

Serving Alcohol Responsibly and Food Safe Certification.

Experience in high-end, seasonal resort style operations considered an asset.

Proven ability and knowledge to interpret financial reports and budgets.

Proficiency with financial reporting, forecasting, budgeting restaurant management operating software, POS systems.

Compensation:

Salary range 82,000 - 92,000 annually depending on experience.
