We are seeking Restaurant General Manager for our client in Alberta, within the Hospitality and Food Services Industry. You will play a key role in preparing high-quality, delicious dishes according to recipes and standards.
Responsibilities:
- Project sales based on industry trends, and budget liquor and food purchases accordingly.
- Budget labor based on projected sales and review culinary labor projections, suggesting adjustments as needed.
- Collaborate with the Kitchen Manager to set accurate par levels for prep sheets based on PMIX analysis.
- Review and approve service schedules from various managers, ensuring alignment with labor projections.
- Analyze P&L regularly, adjusting targets for labor, COGS, GL, and sales as necessary to meet goals.
- Audit promotional tabs/voids/discounts during shifts and ensure accuracy with receipts and tracker spreadsheets.
- Brainstorm and execute outside sales events and promotions.
- Oversee departmental managers, holding them accountable for their roles and responsibilities.
- Implement Performance Management and Development Program to support employee growth.
- Maintain building standards, handle payroll, facilitate safety practices, plan events, handle guest complaints, and communicate effectively with higher management while adhering to company core values.

- 2 - 4 years External General Manager Experience
- 2 - 4 years Internal Assistant General Manager Experience
- Must be inside Canada and have a valid permit to work
- First Aid Certification, Food Safe and ProServe
- Proven strategic thinking skills
- Must have understanding of financial tools ie. P&L, General Ledger, etc.
- Analytical and budgeting skills, esp. labour, COGS, & controllable expenses.
- Ability to delegate tasks to others and hold them accountable.
- Problem solving and decision making

- Salary $65,000 per annum.
- The Employer is willing to apply for LMIAs for 2-year Work Permits for selected candidates.
