Your Mission:
Lead the Williams Lake Red Tomato Pies restaurant location and be fully responsible and accountable for achieving revenue, cost and margin targets, managing staff and schedules, executing payroll, managing budgets and projections and motivating our staff to deliver a WOW! customer service.
Success In This Role:
To be successful in this role, you will need proven General Manager level experience with employees, customers, operational skills and experience in both the front and back of the restaurant. We’ll expect you to lead by example and uplift our staff during busy moments in our fast paced environment.
You must bring an ownership mentality and passion for excellence, taking responsibility for the quality of our pies, employee engagement, customer satisfaction as well as back of house tasks such as scheduling, payroll, employee reviews and management, reviewing reports and elevating supplier relationships. Ultimately, you will ensure that our restaurant runs smoothly and customers consistently experience the family, folksy, informal vibe that is making us the go-to pizza restaurant in Williams Lake.
Responsibilities:
- Drive financial results according to fiscal year plans;
- Manage budgets to plan and on time payroll for the restaurant;
- Track and approve expenses;
- Delight our customers with high levels of engagement;
- Following your lead, ensure all employees provide excellent customer service to the customers;
- Respond to customer feedback or concerns and take action to resolve issues and ensure an overall positive experience;
- Hire and train new employees;
- Ensure employee shift schedules are clear, communicated and understood by all employees;
- Review restaurant, category, product reports weekly and adjust restaurant operations to maximize results;
- Review and understand monthly financial reports and take actions to drive restaurant revenue and profitability;
- Meet with Red Tomato Pies owner on weekly store manager group calls and monthly regional calls;
- Accountable for driving the brand standards and compliance throughout the store on a daily basis;
- Daily, Weekly, Monthly core value awards system in place at store;
- Develops a local annual charity program;
- Coordinate daily front and back of the house restaurant operations;
- Appraise staff performance and provide feedback to improve productivity;
- Ensure compliance with sanitation and safety regulations;
- Control operational costs and identify measures to cut waste;
- Promote the brand in the local community through word-of-mouth and restaurant events;
- Recommend ways to reach a broader audience (e.g. discounts and social media ads);
- Train new and current employees on proper customer service practices;
- Implement and update policies and protocols that will maintain future restaurant operations.
Required Skills:
- Proven work experience as a restaurant or restaurant chain General Manager, Hospitality Manager or similar role;
- Strong leadership, motivational and people skills;
- Acute financial management skills with proven payroll and financial responsibility
- Highly disciplined;
- Incredible (world class) at prioritization;
- Can juggle all of the balls in the air and figure out which ones need the most attention before they drop;
- Solve complex issues quickly with the limited resources of a small, hypergrowth company with limited financial resources;
- Takes an idea and generates options versus just taking instruction;
- Requires little direction;
- Can just figure it out and sees around the corner before everyone else;
- Be world class at building relationships with clients and employees;

Details & Compensation:
- Full time, permanent, on site, in restaurant
- Working weekends and some evenings are required
- Salary: From $60,000 to $90,000
