The Food And Beverage Server role is designed to ensure the Corporate Objectives of maximizing profitability and Owner, Guest & Staff happiness for their resort by following the 3V Philosophy of Visibility, Velocity and Value. The Food and Beverage Server at Great Blue Resorts is fundamental in the overall success of the Boathouse Café. In addition to serving food and drinks, the food and beverage server perform tasks, such as setting up tables, removing used dishes and preparing simple dishes. They serve as the main point of contact for guests.

This is a hands-on position and will be responsible for the following tasks:

Qualifications and Skills
Food and Beverage:
- Provide customer service
- Greet patrons, present menus, make recommendations and answer questions regarding food and beverages
- Advise on menu selections
- Serve food and beverages
- General plate services
- Complete all side duties as laid out by supervisor
- Present bills to customers and accept payment in cash, credit or debit cards, travelers’ cheques
- Describe menu items including daily specials for guests
- Prepare and serve specialty food at guests' tables
- Take orders and relay to kitchen and bar staff
- Address customers' complaints or concerns
- Enforce provincial/territorial liquor legislation and regulations
- Clear and clean tables, trays and chairs
- Load buspans and trays/assist with dishes when required
- Set tables
- Replenish condiments and other supplies at tables and serving areas
- Balance cash and record sales
- Must be of legal age to mix and serve alcoholic beverages
- Assist clients/guests with special needs
- Weight Handling Up to 23 kg (50 lbs.)
- Describe and advise on wine selections
- Present, open, pour and serve wine in appropriate wine glassware

- Be able to use a computerized system
