Safety Supervisor

The Safety Supervisor reports to the General Manager and is responsible for but not limited to the following:

· Provide feedback and support to the Production Supervisors by maintaining a visible presence in the field, performing daily site visits, audits, assist in the coaching, mentoring and implementation of the Health and Safety programs.

· Compile monthly compliance reports.

· Compose and provide daily Toolbox Talks to the production Supervisors.

· Regularly review and be familiar with all applicable legislation and standards, to ensure compliance.

· Inform the management team of any new or conflicting legislative matters that could impact safety or are against regulations.

· Maintain the Safety Management Plan to ensure a safe work environment for all company employees, contractors, visitors. Regularly audit the safety management plan for compliance and update to ensure the alignment with project scope and conditions.

· Order and maintain inventory on required PPE and safety products.

· Organize, schedule and conduct required monthly safety staff meetings.

· Ensure that all incidents are reported immediately and properly documented.

· Participate and assist the supervisors in the investigation of incidents to determine root cause and corrective actions where necessary.

· Review safety obligations of the clients and ensure they are carried out as per the terms of the agreement and communicated to the Manager.

· Ensure new hires are orientated, and all required documentation is completed accurately.

· Collaborate with Managers, Supervisors and employees to address safety concerns, provide training and promote a culture of safety awareness.

· Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, incidents, training and compliance activities.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: $35.00-$45.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
