Sales Assistant

The Winnipeg Free Press is seeking an Inside Sales Coordinator. Generally, the responsibilities will include providing sales support for Sales Representatives by preparing paperwork and following procedures for booking, ordering and clearing ads, etc.

Responsibilities:

· Assist sales representatives to ensure all ads are ordered and cleared for publication according to departmental deadlines.

· Key contact person for customers when sales reps are out on call or on vacation.

· Handle calls from sales reps when they are out to attend to internal matters.

· Contact clients for booking space, ad copy, layouts, etc. to meet deadlines.

· Coordinate ads with creative services.

· Gain approval of proofs and follow up on ads.

· Provide tear-sheets and return artwork to clients.

· Perform various tasks on Adbase booking system.

· Perform any other duties as directed by management.

Qualifications:

· Experience in sales environment or in customer relations with strong customer service skills

· Ability to effectively communicate information and ideas in written and digital format

· Strong computer skills are essential particularly in MS Office Suite

· Self motivated and well organized – attention to detail

· The ability to work in a team environment and thrive in a busy, high energy workplace.

· Practices superior time management

· Makes evident good technical understanding and can pick up new tools quickly.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $16.46-$26.33 per hour
