Role description
As our customer service specialist with our team at Giant Vancouver, your main priority is sales while ensuring the highest level of customer service and satisfaction. As the customer’s first point of contact you are responsible for welcoming our customers and steering them in the right direction as needed.
On the sales floor, you guide the customer through our collection and help with any questions they may have, encouraging them to test ride bikes. You are also taking in service appointments and walk in repairs for our service department. You are encouraged to share your knowledge of new trends and products to management, staff and customers alike.
You are responsible for keeping a clean work environment, keeping stocks replenished at all times, communicating low inventory levels and helping with proper merchandising in order to provide a better customer service experience and help driving the sales.
Requirements
- Passion for and knowledge of the cycling industry (road, mountain, gravel…)
- Previous experience in the cycling or retail industry an asset
- Previous experience with a POS (point-of-sale system) an asset
- Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with our customers
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy when handling money
- Computer literate and able to learn quickly
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Salary: $18.00-$22.00 per hour
Expected hours: 16 – 35 per week
