Job Summary:
The Sales Manager at Femtum is instrumental in driving our sales initiatives and expanding our market presence. This role is ideal for a results-driven professional with a proven track record in technical sales, capable of developing and executing effective sales strategies and leading a local and international team towards achieving sales targets. You will be responsible for nurturing a high-performance sales team, setting clear goals, and fostering a culture of success, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Collaborating closely with the CEO, you will ensure that sales strategies are aligned with the company's overall objectives and market positioning.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and expand the international distribution channels to meet or exceed sales targets, ensuring a high level of team performance and motivation.
- Implement effective sales strategies and plans to increase market share and customer base, adapting to changing market conditions and opportunities.
- Maintain a deep understanding of customer needs, market trends, and the competitive landscape to inform strategic decisions and sales approaches.
- Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships, understanding customer needs and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Lead marketing material developments to ensure cohesive brand messaging and to capitalize on lead generation efforts.
- Provide coaching and training to the sales team, fostering skill development and product knowledge.
- Manage sales budgets and forecasts, providing regular reports to senior management on sales performance, goals, and challenges.

- Proven experience in a sales management role, with a strong track record of achieving sales targets and driving team performance.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, or a related field.
- Strong leadership skills, capable of inspiring and motivating a sales team towards achieving sales goals.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and team members.
- Strategic thinker with a data-driven approach to sales management, capable of analyzing complex sales data and market trends.

- Willing to travel around the globe to meet clients, attend trade shows, and expand the company's market presence.
- Basic knowledge of photonics, allowing for a better understanding of the products and the needs of the customers in this specialized field.
- Proficiency in French is considered a valuable asset, facilitating communication with a diverse clientele and team members.
