Position Overview:
We are looking for a driven and motivated Sales & Operations Administrator to provide support to Shipping, Sales and Operations of our Engineered Wood Division located at 25284 Fraser Hwy.
Principal Responsibilities:
- Act as a primary point of contact and assist customers by providing day-to-day support
- Answer all telephone calls in a polite manner, taking messages, routing to proper individuals, and providing sales assistance when required
- Assist with tracking safety logs, pre-trip equipment inspections, etc.
- Assist in resolving discrepancies, such as errors on packing lists or missing paperwork
- Prepare operational cutting cards for Forklift Operators to assemble orders; assuring cards match the orders
- Support Shipping Department in processing paperwork to customers and yard staff
- Coordinate supply transfers from Main Yard to Engineering Wood Division
- Create, allocate, and follow up on Purchase orders with Vendors for supplies required
- Order supplies for office and lunchroom
- Arrange maintenance and repairs for inside office equipment
- Support Yard Manager with follow up on machine maintenance (Support Yard Manager)
- Invoicing on a weekly basis
- Assist with mid-year and year-end inventory
- Other duties as assigned by Management
Knowledge Skills and Abilities Required:
- Previous building supplies and lumber experience an asset
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Demonstrated ability to multitask and prioritize
- Excellent computer skills (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Proficient math skills
- High level of organization and attention to detail
- Strong work ethic and willingness to take initiative
- Ability to build positive, productive, and professional relationships with coworkers and customers

Experience:
- Microsoft Excel: 2 years (preferred)
- lumber industry: 1 year (preferred)
