AlumaSafway is currently recruiting Apprentice and Journeyperson Scaffolders for our Fort McMurray area sites.
Scaffolders erect and dismantle temporary work platforms or structures that safely hold workers, tools, equipment, and construction components.
SHIFT:
- 7/7 - 12 hour Days
- Overtime is available when applicable
- Camp accommodations provided
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Scaffolders provide other trades with safe, secure access to areas both indoors and outdoors.
- May be required to plan and order on-site scaffolding materials.
- Ensure that all company policies and procedures are followed, and on-site client relations are positive.
- Scaffolders work mostly outdoors at a variety of locations, extreme heights, and all-weather conditions.
- Must be able to work in Confined Space areas as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 2nd, 3rd, 4th Year Apprentices and Journeyperson Scaffolders
- Basic math skills and the ability to follow instructions
- The ability to work at heights
- Must have physical strength and endurance, lifting up to 50lbs
- Be able to wear a safety harness once trained
SAFETY COURSES REQUIRED:
- OSSA Regional/OSSA BSO/Energy Safety Canada CSO
- Fall Protection (Energy Canada or ACTI)
- Confined Space (OSSA, Energy Canada, or ACTI)
- WHMIS 2015
PPE AND TOOLS:
- Provide your own scaffolder tools and belt
- CSA approved work boots
This is a unionized position.
This is not a Fly in Fly out position.
Travel allowance available based on location
Successful candidates will be required to undergo a Pre-Access Alcohol and Drug Test prior to mobilizing to site.
