Wrapex is currently looking for *LOCAL* Journeyman Scaffolders to start immediately for work in the Rocky Mountain House area.

Job Duties

• Execute industry acceptable building practices using both Tube & Clamp and System Scaffold
• Must be able to mentor and direct apprentices and labourers as required and able to communicate effectively with other trades
• Must be able to follow direction and work with minimal supervision
• Must be in good physical condition and able to work at heights
• Must be able to work safely and follow safe work procedures

Education, Skills, and Responsibilities

• Journeyman certification or Non Ticketed Journeyman preferred; otherwise, must provide proof of hours relevant to scaffolding and previous industrial experience.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety documents, maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, and blueprints.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Demonstrate practical problem-solving ability.
• Highly motivated self-starter able to work with minimal supervision or in small teams.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong hand-eye coordination.
• Climb heights and conduct work with proper safety restraints.
• A high regard for health and safety in the workplace.
• Confident participating in safety meetings, daily toolboxes, and hazard assessments prior to commencing daily work activities.

Job Specific Tasks

• Unloading scaffolding material on site
• Ensuring a stable base for scaffolding
• Erecting scaffolding poles
• Laying planks for workers to walk on
• Fixing guard rails and safety netting
• Dismantling scaffolding when a project is complete
• Comfortable with tube & clamp and system scaffolding techniques.

Working Conditions

• Lift heavy loads up to 50 lbs of materials
• Physical demands; bending, walking, climbing
• Working outside in inclement weather conditions
• Potential exposure to high noise levels and hazards common to industrial plant settings
