Seasonal Service Desk Technician

Information Systems is hiring a Seasonal Service Desk Technician. We are seeking applicants who enjoy working with people, possess excellent technical skills and have exceptional communication.

Reporting to the Supervisor of Information Technology Services, the successful applicant will:

• Provide first-level technical support end-users via phone, email and in-person
• Assist in troubleshooting hardware and software problems, including printer and network issues
• Log and prioritize support tickets in our IT service management
• Carry out the installation of hardware, software, and the deployment of PC's including unpacking of equipment and delivery to customers
• Set up Smart Phones; including installing screen protectors, basic set up of apps, and customer training
• Communicate technical information to non-technical users
• Document and update support procedures and knowledge base articles
• Data entry including hardware and software inventory, SharePoint lists, Metadata and data migration and validation
• Other duties as assigned.

• 
  Completion of a minimum one year of college in technical field such as information systems, computer systems technology or computer science

• Experience with Microsoft 365 and Windows 10 / 11

• Understanding of computer hardware and software

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Customer-focused with a positive attitude

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment

• Problem-solving capabilities

• CompTIA A+ and MCP designation considered an asset

• Valid Class 5 driver's license.

This position is Monday to Friday 8:30 to 4:30 for 35 hours per week from May 1st to August 30th.

Hourly Wage $24.47 to $28.78 hourly
