Security Lead

Guardteck Security is looking for a Full-Time Site Lead at a Shopping Centre in Vernon, BC. You will be working with one of the best-managed security companies in Western Canada. Successful candidates will demonstrate exceptional skills in customer service, effective problem-solving, and decision-making.

Shift Schedule: 0700-1500 hours Tuesday to Saturday

Wage: $23.50 to $24.50 per hour

Reporting directly to the Security Manager, the Security Lead will:

• Assist with all security operations on site.
• Provide leadership to the team of security professionals on-site.
• Ensure the site-specific operation procedures are up to date.
• Ensure tasks are completed efficiently.
• Audit security work and interactions with customers on an ongoing basis.
• Proactively mentor and train employees and provide regular feedback.
• Assist with employee rewards and appreciation programs.
• Help manage scheduling.
• Operate applicable software and on-site equipment.
• Ensure accurate and timely reporting.
• Communicate with the site manager
• Exercise good judgment and make decisions that benefit the customer and the property.
• Become part of the team and make yourself a key part of the customer’s success.

What you should have:

• Valid BC Security License (AST, BST)
• Valid OFA1
• Class 5 Driver's License
• Conflict resolution training
• Proven leadership and people management track record
• Post-secondary degree or combination of relevant training/experience
• Fluent in English (verbal and written)
• Experience in providing exceptional customer service
• Experience with handling emergency situations while remaining calm
• Experience in working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
