Who are you?
You are a seasoned designer with solid experience in digital marketing and corporate identity. You will help us evolve our brand, and continue to express our voice, and value proposition in creative campaigns. You understand branding and love getting deep insights into our business needs and tackling problems that solve business challenges through design. Above all, you identify with our mission of helping students plan their successful futures.
Working collaboratively with Xello's marketing team in an agile environment, you'll work closely with acquisition and engagement marketers to create designs that spur action and motivate response -- whether that's downloading an asset, signing up for a newsletter, or attending online and in-person events.

What you'll do…
- Design and build digital and print assets – including banner ads, web pages, emails, blogs, ebooks, webinars, brochures, flyers, and other marketing initiatives
- Help drive business results through design process and production
- Create collateral for client presentations, all-hands meetings, events, and conferences.
- Apply style guides creatively while upholding brand identity and consistency
- Have a key role on projects in creating concepts, comps, layouts, and final art
- Have the ability to clearly articulate and communicate your design decisions to stakeholders and marketing team members.
- Design, build and refine a library of on-brand patterns to help the marketing team effectively execute campaigns
- Participate in retros and reviews to understand campaign successes and failures and evolve the marketing design practice.
- Eventually manage production of all print pieces from conception to completion
What we're looking for…
- 3+ years of experience collaborating with marketing and design teams
- Please include a compelling portfolio featuring impactful digital and print design, showcasing successful marketing projects and effective tactics with your application in order to be considered
- Act as a guardian for our brand, possessing in-depth knowledge of printing while excelling in digital design
- Familiarity with design processes, capable of challenging briefs and solving problems effectively
- Innovative, collaborative, and open to learning from the team
- Embrace change, risk, failure, and uncertainty
- Comfortable using and learning design tools like Adobe Suite and Figma
- Familiarity with CMS tools (e.g., WordPress) and knowledge of HTML and CSS is advantageous
- Utilize data to understand client interactions with digital assets and identify optimization opportunities
- Meticulous attention to detail
- Naturally curious, comfortable building new patterns in design
- Gracefully accept constructive feedback, incorporating inputs for iterative improvement.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrate great progress reporting skills at every stage of the design process
