Job Summary:
We are seeking a friendly and experienced Server to join our team at The Renfrew Pub. As a Server, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a positive dining experience for our guests. Duties:
- Greet and seat customers in a timely and friendly manner
- Take food and drink orders accurately and efficiently
- Provide menu recommendations and upsell specials to enhance the dining experience
- Deliver food and beverages to tables promptly and accurately
- Ensure customer satisfaction by addressing any concerns or special requests
- Process payments and handle cash transactions
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in the dining area
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders
- Assist with food preparation as needed

General Responsibilities:

● Greeting guests, seating, presenting menus, menu knowledge, taking drink/food orders in a timely fashion. Working efficiently with our POS system to punch in orders.

● Delivering food/drinks, maintaining and ensuring guest satisfaction.

● Anticipating and attending to guests' needs with genuine and caring service.

● Pre bussing and ensuring a high standard of table maintenance.

● Taking responsibility for guests' dining experience.

● Communication with MOD regarding level of service and requesting assistance before guests' dining experience suffers.

● Clearing and resetting tables.

● Maintaining stations in an organized and productive manner.

● Adhering with company cash handling policies.

● Responsible for opening duties/closing and ongoing side work.

● Performs other tasks/projects as assigned by management.

Qualifications and Skills:

● Minimum of one-year previous experience as a server in an upbeat fast paced, upscale casual dining environment.

● Teamwork oriented individual.

● Ability to work full time hours throughout the summer. Minimum 8hr days, 5 days a week.

● Be able to multi-task and maintain a professional and upbeat demeanor while under pressure.

● Cash handling and basic accounting functions.

● Valid alcohol and food handler's certifications.

● Strong verbal, written and interpersonal skills. Able to read, write, speak and understand English well.

● Must be able to work quickly and efficiently.

● Physical requirements: walk or stand for long periods of time, bending, lifting up to 25kg. Be able to hear, speak and see without impairment.

Salary: - $16.75 + tips

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent, Seasonal
Contract length: 5-6 months

Salary: $16.75 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Day shift
• Evening shift
• Every Weekend
• Monday to Friday
