Shift Lead

The Action Group is a non-profit organization that provides a range of services to adults and children with developmental disabilities in Central Alberta. The Enhanced Housing Program is designed to accommodate Adults with developmental disabilities who due to multiple factors have been unsuccessful in securing community living options. The facility provides 24/7 residential support to 8 individuals with complex service needs who have a range of cognitive, behavioral and mental health support requirements and provides a comprehensive range of therapy and support, in a specialized environment. Located in the town of Ponoka, Alberta.

The Action Group is currently seeking 2 full-time Shift Leads.

Shift Lead will work with the supervisory team to provide training/guidance to a team of front line Complex Needs Support Specialists (CNSS). The Shift Lead provides direction to ensure safety, the consistent implementation of support plans, and provides structure for the shift ensuring all daily tasks are completed.

Position One Shift is 40hrs/wk rotating every 2 weeks: Mon 3:30-12, Tues 3:30-12, Wed 2:30-12, Thurs OFF, Friday 3:30-12, Sat 3:30-12, Sun 3:30-12, Mon 3:30-10, Tues OFF, Wed 2:30-12, Thurs 3:30-12, Friday 3:30-12, Sat OFF Sun OFF -1/2 hour unpaid break

Position Two Shift is 40hrs/wk rotating every 2 weeks: Friday 3:30-12, Sat 3:30-12, Sun 3:30-12, Mon 3:30-10, Tues OFF, Wed 2:30-12, Thurs 3:30-12, Friday 3:30-12, Sat OFF Sun OFF, Mon 3:30-12, Tues 3:30-12, Wed 2:30-12, Thurs OFF, 1/2 hour unpaid break

• Ability to work well and closely with different teams
• Ability to implement support plans and support staff to understand and implement.

Requirements

• Degree in Human Services preferred
• Valid driver's license/reliable transportation
• Clean criminal record check
• Minimum 2 years supervisory experience
• Minimum 2-5 years managing behaviours of concern
