Site Supervisor Responsibilities:
- Coordinate Trades; schedule and plan in accordance with closing date timelines
- Walk the homes! Inspecting construction sites regularly to identify and eliminate potential safety hazards.
- Supervising and instructing the construction team as well as subcontractors.
- Educating site workers on construction safety regulations and accident protocol.
- Enforcing site safety rules to minimize work-related accidents and injuries.
- Handling site accidents in accordance with established accident protocol.
- Maintaining an accurate record of construction employee attendance. Maintaining an accurate record of covid screening and homes visited per day.
- Evaluating the performance of construction employees and instituting disciplinary measures as needed.
- Communicate scope of work to supervisor, review production, quality and contract compliance and ensure implementation.
- Quantify and track all materials required for each project ensuring no overruns.
- Analyzing blueprints to ensure that construction projects meet design, safety, and budget specifications.
- Recommending changes to construction operations or procedures to increase efficiency.
- Correspond with Project Mangers regarding all contract discrepancies or adjustments required, ensuring speciality materials are ordered in advance in order to meet deadlines.
- Correspond with After Sales regarding all deficiencies, outstanding work orders, and final inspections (PDI).
- Submit daily log/progress report to head office by EOD.
Site Supervisor Qualifications:
- Current WHMIS, First Aid and Fall Protection Certificates
- Ability to read and understanding drawings/specification and have knowledge of GTA and/or southern Ontario municipality standards
- Excellent organizational and planning skills, ability to manage multiple projects
- Ability to meet tight deadlines and schedules while maintaining safety and profitability
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Basic knowledge of MS Office, google drive, Builderlynx (training provided)
- Ability to work with minimum supervision
- Work within project framework and adhere to all Company guidelines and policies
- Demonstrates leadership skills
- Previous site super experience is required
