Dozinghem Industrial Services is an electrical utility contractor, specializing in aerial lighting and power distribution across Atlantic Canada. We are currently expanding our team for a large civil utility construction project located in the core of Downtown Halifax.

Skilled Labourer

We are recruiting Skilled Labourers who are looking to bring their expertise to a large-scale infrastructure development project. This role is ideal for those who like to work outside and are interested in applying their skills to a specialized scope of work. The successful candidate will be joining a small but formidable team, focused on excellence in a supportive and positive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Installing concrete encased conduit duct banks
• Installing concrete formwork
• Installing rebar for concrete reinforcement
• Installing electrical conduits
• Installing light pole foundations and concrete pads
• Installing large pre-cast concrete structures
• Setting elevation grades for various installations
• Managing general site labour requirements, including site preparation, maintenance, and cleanup.
• Working collaboratively within a team to maintain a positive and productive work environment.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

• Demonstrated experience in civil construction, with a focus on concrete work.
• Competency in interpreting construction drawings
• Knowledge of hand and power tool operation related to construction.
• A strong commitment to adhering to safety standards and protocols.
• Physical ability to perform labour-intensive tasks across various conditions.
• Effective communication skills and a team-oriented attitude.
• Valid WHMIS certificate
• Valid driver’s license
