The open-pit gold mine is a joint venture between IAMGOLD and Sumitomo Metal Mining Co. Ltd. and is operated by IAMGOLD. We are located near Gogama, Ontario, with access to stable infrastructure and strong connections with our local communities.

SKILLED LABOURER, SITE SERVICES
The Site ServicesSkilled Labourer performs various manual tasks to support safe and reliable Côté Gold's Site Services operations. The Site ServicesSkilled Labourer work collaboratively with the team to deliver execution of the integrated plan and schedule.
Key Responsibilities
Area 1:
Safe and reliable Site Services operations.
- Support equipment operation, construction and maintenance work across Site Services operations.
- Clean, lubricate and perform regular safety checks on equipment.
- Ensure equipment and tools are in good working order.
- Ensure work areas are kept clean and safe.
- Identify faults and troubleshoot as required.
- Assist Trades personal to execute daily tasks and assigned projects.
- Operate power tools and equipment require for Site Services operations.
Area 2:
Operational excellence.
- Commit to continuous learning and improvement.
- Continually seek to improve your skills as a labourer.
- Watch for inefficiencies or problems.
- Ensure problems and inefficiencies are shared with others.
- Work collaboratively to troubleshoot and resolve problems.
- Consider risk along the five dimensions (throughput, time, quality, sustainability, and cost).
Area 3:
Work collaboratively with others to deliver operational reliability.
- Coordinate with other team members on site to meet shift deliverables.
- Mentor and train new team members.
- Participate in and lend your expertise to the team.
- Communicate clearly and effectively using the tools provided.
- Ensure equipment logs and shift logs are accurate and complete.
- Ensure any deficiencies are communicated to the appropriate team members for follow-up.
- Participate in multi-disciplinary teams to deliver on our commitment to our team, our communities, the environment, and our shareholders.
Minimum Requirements and Nice To Haves
minimum qualifications, formal education, certifications or equivalents
- Grade 12 or equivalent.
Work experience - Nature & Length
- 2 years or more of industrial labour experience is considered an asset.
Additional qualifications - Competency requirements
- Work collaboratively with others.
- Able to take direction.
- Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy loads.
- Good hand-eye coordination.
- Familiarity with power tools and machinery is considered an asset.
- Commitment to safety.
