As we gear up for a beautiful Okanagan summer, we are looking to expand our team of Tasting Room Associates.
Reporting to Tasting Room Management, the TASTING ROOM ASSOCIATEis responsible for:
- Creating a welcoming atmosphere for all guests and fostering an inviting wine education learning environment.
- Sharing information on the history of Intrigue Wines and demonstrating proficient knowledge on all wines.
- Promoting wine sales and wine club sign ups through strong customer engagement.
- Utilizing the POS system to ring through all sales accurately and efficiently.
- Ensuring merchandise and wine displays are tidy and fully stocked.
- Assisting with the packing of wine club orders for shipping.
- On occasion, the assisting of special events both on and off-site.
To be considered for the role, you must possess:
- Excellent customer service, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- A genuine desire to help guests in a friendly, courteous, and professional manner.
- Ability to perform effectively both within a group, and as an individual.
- A desire to work in a fast-paced environment and multi-task efficiently.
- Experience in a customer service role, ideally within the wine industry.
Requirements:
- Minimum 19 years of age.
- Valid Serving It Right certificate.
- WSET or other related certificates an asset.
- Food Safe or First Aid certifications considered an asset.
- Ability to be standing for extended periods of time.
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs.
- High School diploma.
- Flexible schedule – must be available weekends and holidays.
- Drop off resume in-person.
NOTE – Both full-time and part-time positions are available for the 2024 season from Late April- Late September, with a possibility to extend contract through the winter.
