SalaryOur name might be Foolish, but our wines are far from it! At Foolish we strive to bring fun into every tasting and give the guests something to remember. A boisterous winery where someone who doesn’t know us might come in with low expectations, that's where your personality and the wines change their mind!
Our mentality is more akin to that of a brewery. Instead of making 4-7 wines in large quantities, we run with many more SKU’s in smaller quantities. Think 20-25 wines in 150 cases or less each. For example, if a seasonal keg runs out in our brewery tap rooms, no one is upset when something else delicious is tapped immediately to follow. With small production wines, we get to have more fun in our tap room. The ever evolving portfolio allows guests to return multiple times throughout the year and likely never have the same tasting line up.
Your responsibilities
- Greet and interact with all guests in a friendly and professional manner
- Provide tasting in the wine shop and on our busy patio
- Provide a clean personal and professional aesthetic
- Be responsible for sales in the Tasting Room
- Drive sales of new and previous vintages and promote our Fantastic Club memberships
- Maintain merchandising, organization, and cleanliness on the retail floor and behind the tasting bar
- Assist and support other functions of the winery as needed
- Receive deliveries and manage stock
- Adhere to ALL BC liquor regulations
Must haves:
- B.C. Serving it Right Certification
- 1+ years of guest service experience
- We aren’t a boring brand, so we prefer you to match the energy
- Passionate about building a career in the wine industry
- Meet the physical requirements of the position including repetitively lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling weight up to 40lbs
- Previous wine education is an asset
