Brewery Tasting Room Associate

Neighbourhood Brewing is an established brand in the Okanagan with our main brewery located in Penticton, the Outpost in the District Wine village is a beer focused Tasting Room offering pint's, flights and off-sales. The brewery is a nice change from some guests who prefer beer over wine in this wine forward environment. In peak summer we are VERY busy, the ideal candidate will be efficient and able to handle multiple guests while following all responsible serving rules and regulations. NBHD Outpost is part of the Yellow Dog Beverage Company with sister brands Foolish Wine Inc. and Yellow Dog Spirits also in the wine village.

Responsibilities:

- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to customers

- Take customer orders and provide recommendations based on their preferences

- Maintain a clean and organized bar area

- Check customers' IDs to ensure they meet the legal drinking age

- Handle cash transactions and process payments accurately

- Interact with customers in a friendly and professional manner

- Monitor customer behavior and ensure responsible alcohol consumption

- Restock bar and prep inventory inventory and supplies as needed

Requirements:

- Previous experience in bartending or a related field is preferred

- Excellent math skills for calculating bills and making change

- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment

- Outstanding customer service skills with a friendly and approachable demeanor

- Knowledge of food safety regulations and practices

- Familiarity with cashiering procedures

Salary: $18.00-$22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 16 – 40 per week
