Gold Hill is looking for a Tasting Room Associate with a passion for customer service to lead our Tasting Room staff in creating and executing wonderful guest experiences. You will lead by example, demonstrating a great attitude, easily adapting to sudden changes, and solving problems on the go. The successful candidate will have great customer service and leadership skills and will be able to demonstrate flexibility within their role to help support the execution of our guest experience.

Essential Duties
-educate customers on history, brands, and varietals
-build relationships with customers, take the initiative to provide excellent customer service and exceptional hospitality
-greet guests and pour wines for tasting according to procedure
-POS transactions and purchases
-meet established sales goals for wine club memberships
-assist with cleaning, stocking
-assist with winery events
Requirements
-wine shop experience is an asset
-sales and retail experience
-able to work weekends and holidays
-must be 19 years of age
-valid drivers license with reliable transportation
-valid Serving it Right certificate
-able to lift and carry cases of wine approximately 44+ lbs
-able to work on your feet throughout the entire shift
-able to work outdoors
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
-WSET or applicable wine knowledge certificates are assets
-flexible schedule, schedule may change due to volume of customers
-commitment to excellence and high standards
-meet changing priorities in the workplace with efficiency, enthusiasm, and positivity
-ability to communicate effectively with diverse client groups and staff members
-professional appearance and demeanor
-strong computer/POS skills with data entry considered an asset

Contract length: 6 months
Salary: $20.00-$21.00 per hour
