Job Description
Directly reporting to the Tasting Room Supervisor, this position will be responsible for providing experiences to customers, maintaining a clean and welcoming environment, and ensuring a superior customer experience.
Duties and Responsibilities
Wine Shop Operations:
- Manage the daily needs of the Tasting Room, ensuring a welcoming and engaging environment for guests.
- Ensure exceptional customer service standards are met.
- Ensure compliance with all licensing regulations, health and safety protocols, and alcohol service guidelines.
- Handle customer inquiries, feedback and requests with professionalism and efficiency.
Customer Experience:
- Conduct standing and/or seated tastings depending on your Tasting Room’s policies, ensuring a superior customer experience by engaging guests, sharing knowledge about the winery, and offering guidance on wine selections.
- Foster a warm and inviting atmosphere, ensuring guests feel valued and comfortable throughout their visit.
- Ensure wine club members receive personalised experiences.
- Monitor customer feedback, reviews, and suggestions, proactively addressing any issues or concerns with your Tasting Room Supervisor.
Administrative Support:
- Assist with online and phone-in order fulfilment activities, including processing wine sales, packing orders, and ensuring customer pick-ups are handled seamlessly.
- Assist with inventory counts, stock rotation, and managing supply levels for the Tasting Room.
Team Leadership and Training:
- Lead by example, motivating other Tasting Room staff to deliver exceptional service.
- Foster a positive and collaborative team environment, promoting effective communication and teamwork.
- Work towards meeting or exceeding sales targets set by the Hospitality & Wine Club Manager (including wine, merchandise, and wine club sign-ups).

Contract length: 7-8 months
Pay: $20.00-$22.00 per hour
