Responsibilities
- Welcome and greet visitors to the wine Tasting Room in a friendly and professional manner
- Conduct wine tastings, providing detailed information about each wine
- Assist guests in selecting wines based on their preferences and answer any questions about the wineries offerings
- Educate guests on winery history & wine knowledge to ensure an enjoyable and informative experience
- Maintain a clean and organized Tasting Room including opening and closing duties
- Handle sales transactions including processing payments and cash outs
- Promote wine club memberships and upcoming events to enhance guest engagement and loyalty
- Perform various cleaning duties including but not limited to clearing and setting tables inside and on patio, washing, polishing and restocking glassware, cleaning washrooms and general housekeeping of the Wine Shop, completing general clean-up of all guest areas throughout the day.
- Promoting and building brand awareness
Skills:
- Strong Hospitality skills to assist guests in a friendly and helpful manner
- Knowledge
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Attention to detail to accurately stock shelves
- Strong communication skills to effectively communicate with team members and management
- Ability to lift heavy objects and stand for extended periods of time
Mandatory Qualifications
- Serving it Right
- 19 years age at the minimum
- Ability to lift and carry up to 40lbs (case of wine)
- Ability to work on your feet (inside/outside) for extended periods of time (6-8 hours)
Hospitality Qualifications
- Serving experience is an asset
- Provide excellence in guest services
- Friendly and polite demeanor, who thrives in a dynamic and fast-paced working environment
- Passionate about wine, eager for knowledge and delights in delivering exceptional hospitality
Hourly Wage: $18.75/hour plus generous gratuities
