Vanessa Vineyard, a well-established, award-winning Winery, is searching for full- and part-time Tasting Room Associates in Cawston, BC. We are looking for talented and knowledgeable individuals to join our team.

Job Responsibilities:

• Greet and interact with guests in a friendly and professional manner.
• Provide an educational and memorable experience promoting and selling wine.
• Act as an ambassador for the Similkameen's wine culture with personal experience and recommendations by answering visitors’ questions and providing general tourist information.
• Promote Wine Club memberships to guests and process club sign-ups.
• Perform till transactions, including taking payment, packing orders, and carrying orders to guests’ vehicles.
• Maintain supplies and merchandise in the Tasting Room, including wine bottles, glasses, accessories, food items, etc.
• Perform various cleaning duties including but not limited to clearing, washing, polishing and restocking merchandise; cleaning and tidying up washrooms and general housekeeping of the Wine Shop (floors, windows, dusting, watering plants, taking out garbage, etc.); completing general clean-up of all guest areas throughout the day, including monitoring the Tasting Room, restrooms, and all outside areas.
• Assist with the packing of orders for shipping, including wine club shipments.
• Assist with organizing and executing special events after-hours and/or off property, if required.
• Other duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications & Personal Skills:

• 19+ years of age (legal requirement in BC)
• 1-3 years of experience in wine sales or hospitality
• Knowledge of PoS systems, Commerce7 or Wine Direct is an asset
• A valid Serving It Right, or willingness to obtain one
• Ability to perform effectively both within a group and as an individual.
• Flexibility, ability to work weekends and holidays.
• Physically fit and able to lift 40 lbs.
• Guest service skills, enthusiastic and outgoing personality
• A genuine desire to help guests in a friendly, courteous, and professional manner.
• Multi-tasking, organizing skills
• Love for wine and all things wine related is a must!
