The family behind Kismet Estate Winery has been growing wine grapes in the Okanagan Valley for more than two decades, and they’ve earned a reputation for producing some of the best in the valley. "Kismet" is a Punjabi word meaning “destiny.” Keeping with the theme, many of Kismet’s wines have Indian names that resonate with the characteristics of the wine, such as Karma, Mantra and Moksha.
We're looking for passionate individuals to join our team and help us tell our family story!
ESSENTIAL TASKS
- Conduct daily wine tasting experiences with guests
- Process sales transactions using Point-Of-Sale Software
- Educate guests about the Wine Club Memberships
- Prepare orders for shipping and pick-up
- Assist with on-site Special Events
- Assist with off-site Tastings Events
- Maintain aesthetic display and keep stock of retail products
- Maintain cleanliness of the Tasting Room
REQUIREMENTS
- Serving It Right Certificate
- Excellent communication & presentation skills
- Ability to manage priorities and workflow
- Ability to manage group tastings
- Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods as required by job duties
- Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs on a regular basis
Job Types: Part-time, Seasonal
Salary: $17.50-$19.50 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
Day range:
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed
Shift:
- 8 hour shift
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Oliver, BC V0H 1T0: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)
Experience:
- Sales: 1 year (preferred)
Licence/Certification:
- Serving It Right Certificate (preferred)
