Social Media Coordinator / Content Creator

JOB SUMMARY:

Likemind Trading Inc. is the parent company of three Western-Canadian retail chains; ONE Boardshop, Premium Label Outlet, and Foursight Supply Co.

We are hiring a qualified Social Media Coordinator / Content Creator with a focus on photography and graphic design, with a strong knowledge of current Social Media trends, to join our marketing team in our head office location in Kelowna, BC.

The person is someone that understands the brands we carry and connects well with them.

THE ROLE:

The Content Creators main job function will be to create high-quality photos and graphics to be distributed for both online and offline purposes. These channels include but are not limited to website, Social Media, and print. The job may also require the candidate to support the in-house marketing team.

In order to be considered for the role you must have a portfolio showcasing some of your photography, graphic design, and Social Media work.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Work in collaboration with the Likemind marketing team to developing relevant concepts and initiatives
- Capturing as well as processing images
- Arranging objects, scenes, background and lighting, adhering to specifications
- Directing and guiding participants to create natural photographs
- Working with our brand reps to create visually appealing retail window spaces
- Working with our print vendors to adhere to on-time project completions
- Ability to deal with multiple brands; while following their brand-usage guidelines
- Helping guide Social Media

REQUIREMENTS:

- A relevant degree or relevant experience
- Social media experience
- A work portfolio
- Prior experience as a Social Media Coordinator, photographer, and/or graphic designer
- Experience of working with photography, image editing, and design software (e.g. Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, etc.)
- Familiarity with production, printing, and online publishing processes
- Exceptional time-management and organizational skills
- A keen eye for details
- Ability to multitask
- An understanding of marketing best practices is an asset

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $20.00-$26.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
