Social/Digital Marketing Intern

Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Digital Marketing Intern to join our team. As a Digital/Social Marketing Intern, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in various aspects of digital/social marketing in the Consumer Packaged Goods industry. This internship is a paid position and will provide valuable skills and knowledge for those interested in pursuing a career in digital/social marketing.

What you'll bring

• Must be enrolled in an undergraduate degree or postgraduate program in a related field and be able to work from May 2024 – September 2024. Preference for 3rd year student.

• Familiarity and understanding of social media platforms (TikTok, Instagram, YouTube)

• Strong written and verbal communication skills and fluency in French and English (bilingual a must).

• The ability to problem-solve, prioritize tasks and work efficiently.

• Self-starter with excellent interpersonal skills; great attitude and go-getter spirit.

• Strong passion to work in a dynamic and ever-changing environment, with shifting priorities.

• Ability to ask for help when needed, while taking steps to problem solve independently.

• Curiosity in digital-first marketing strategy.

How you will lead

• Working alongside the Brand Manager to provide any day-to-day and analytical support required, while also supporting cross-functional teams on ad-hoc requests.

• Creating social media brand presence across Meta and TikTok as well as content calendar and monitor paid social media ad performance, including total spends, engagements, CPA, etc.

• Working in various social media platforms including Meta, YouTube, Pinterest and TikTok in trafficking, reporting and optimizing campaigns with the supervision of the Brand Manager and media agency partner.

• Supporting our e-commerce team to establish best-in-class e-shops across our portfolio of brands within Amazon and retailer web shops.

• Providing recommendations based on campaign performance to indicate where we should be optimizing campaigns

• Participate actively in team events, both on and offsite

Please note that we are a fully remote team, though we have regular online weekly meetings as well as regular collaborative daily work with Manager. Timing of internship to align with university closures for summer (May-end of August).

Job Type: Fixed term contract
Contract length: 4 months

Salary: $19.00-$20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
