Responsibilities

• Perform service and repairs on Fire sprinkler systems for facility maintenance on industrial applications - wet (steel, copper and CPVC), dry, pre-action, deluge and Fire pumps/hydrants;
• Installs replacement parts/equipment for a variety of fire sprinkler systems including valve rebuilds;
• Shut off/turn on systems for repairs;
• Troubleshoot facility equipment failures to ensure minimal down time;
• Ensures timely and proper completion of all PM, CM and RM work orders;
• Flexibility to adapt to different work environments and changes in priorities;
• Ensures proper replacement parts are stored neatly and ensures parts are ordered in time for future use.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 2 years experience as a steamfitter or pipefitter;
• Registered with Ontario college of Trades (427A) is required;
• Experience in manufacturing facilities as it relates to installing, modifying and repairing fire sprinkler systems;
• Promotes and exhibits strong safety practices;
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team;
• Knowledge of codes and tools required to perform job functions;
• Ability to work at heights use Scissor lifts, Zoom Booms and Scaffolding;
• Ability to commute to Oshawa, ON for work;
• Valid Ontario G driver’s license.

Salary: From $41.85 per hour
