Seeking

We are seeking a full-time Staff Public Accountant with a minimum of 3 years of experience working for a public accounting firm.

Job Responsibilities

· Prepare compilation and review engagements

· Prepare financial statements with supporting working paper files

· Complete personal, corporate, and trust income tax returns

· Complete T5 and HST filings

· Maintain and monitor task lists to ensure projects are completed on time

· Respond to CRA inquiry requests

· Complete various tax elections

Skills Desired

· Excellent communication skills with clients, Canada Revenue, and team members

· Ability to research technical accounting issues

· Ability to process client records and identify and investigate discrepancies

· Strong problem solving and time management skills

· Strong knowledge and experience with CaseWare and TaxPrep

· Prior public accounting experience

· Energy and enthusiasm for the job

Details

Schedule

- Average 8-hour workdays Monday - Friday

- Reduced summer hours including half day Fridays

- Over-time during busy season to meet deadlines

Work Location

- Office at 630 Riverbend with ability to work remotely on occasion

Pay

- Competitive annual salary based on experience

- Bonus pay based on performance

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: $70,000.00-$85,000.00 per year
