SalarySkyvision Lumber Inc. is looking to hire Structural Engineer to join our team.

Minimum 5 years experience required
Responsibilities:
- Review /approve designs as part of our design certification and component detailing services
- Review 3D models, framing layouts and component placement plans to ensure accuracy
- Detail and approve structural connections (wood /steel)
- Provide front-line communication with our clients and end users of our products/services
- Engage in project-specific coordination with designers, engineers, clients, or other stakeholders as required
- Involved in the design of site-modification details and reinforcement of damaged wood frames
- Write letters of professional opinion to clients
- Other duties such as technical research and product testing, as required
Requirements :
- Must be a licensed professional Engineer in good standing (P.Eng designation)
- Experience in Simpson Truss Program and Istruc is an asset
- Minimum five years of experience in the construction industry, the light-frame wood truss industry, steel design industry or the engineered wood product (EWP) industry
- Expert level knowledge of structural framing practices as they relate to wood construction
- Working Knowledge of the building component supply-chain in Canada
- Expert-Level software learning abilities with advanced knowledge of MS Office, especially Excel
- Excellent English communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Must be able to interact with different types of stakeholders of varying technical knowledge
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $70,000.00-$80,000.00 per year
