Structural Engineer In Training

Job Description

Makloc is looking to fill the position of Structural Engineer-In-Training (E.I.T - Entry Level) based out of Nisku, Alberta.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

• Assisting senior engineers with design calculations, drawings, specifications, and reports
• Performing site visits, inspections, and testing
• Coordinating with clients, contractors, and project managers
• Applying engineering principles and codes to ensure quality and safety.
• Developing your skills and knowledge under the guidance of experienced engineers

Qualifications include:

• A bachelor's degree in civil or Structural Engineering from an accredited Canadian university (REQUIRED)
• An engineer-in-training designation or eligibility to apply for one (REQUIRED)
• A strong interest and passion for metal, modular buildings, and general construction.
• Excellent communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, and other engineering software
• A willingness to learn new skills and technologies that will help you become self-sufficient and successful in your role as an engineer.

Salary: Starting at $60,000 Annually

• 8.5 hour shift (Monday - Thursday), 8 Hours Friday
• Every 4th Friday Off
