Student Children's Services Assistant

POSITION SUMMARY

The Children's Services Assistant will assist in the Children and Community Services Department with administrative functions for Early Learning & Child Care and Social Policy and Planning.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

• Must be a registered full-time post-secondary student during the preceding academic year and be returning to school on a full-time basis in the next academic year.

• Students of Early Childhood Education or other related Child Studies course preferred.

• Clear criminal reference check within the last 6 months required.

• Strong communication, organizational and computer skills.

• Knowledge of the Child Care and Early Years system considered an asset.

• Driver's License with access to a vehicle.

• Possess excellent people skills.

• Experience with general office practices, clerical and/or administrative functions.
