We are currently accepting resumes for Parks Summer Students to join the Community Services Department team for the 2024 summer season, being a sixteen (16) week period from May 13 to August 30, 2024.
This is an excellent opportunity for a student who enjoys working outdoors and is interested in parks and recreation. The position provides support and a variety of maintenance operations for the Community Services Department.
Hours will be based on 40 hours/week and involve variable shifts. The rate of pay is
$18.00/hour, pending 2024 budget and grant funding approval.
To be eligible, individuals must be returning to school in the fall of 2024 and be between the ages of 16 and 30. A minimum valid Ontario “G2” driver’s license, green patch safety footwear and a clean Vulnerable Sector Check are also required for this position.
Preference will be given to those with experience in lawn care, gardening, painting, cleaning, or related combination. Good public speaking skills and ability to work independently are required.
