Currently, our Supply Chain division has a Supply Chain Foundation Lead opportunity.
The Supply Chain Foundation Lead supports the Supply Chain Program Lead, Technology Lead and Perform Leads in maintaining Supply Chain Program requirements, procedures and the internal standards and enterprise software that implement the same. The Supply Chain Foundations also leads and manages a team responsible for executing Bruce Power’s Conduct of Business Program (BP-PROG-16.01) including governance, oversight, support and perform requirements.
This is a permanent, full-time position which offers a competitive benefits, compensation and pension package and is located on site in Tiverton, Ontario.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide support to the Department Manager in managing the Department in accordance with applicable legislation, policies, programs, procedures, and agreements.
  • Provide support to the Supply Chain Technology Lead to manage and implement Enterprise-wide solutions and improvement initiatives.
  • Initiate and maintain a standardized revision process for Supply Chain policies, procedures, and standards to ensure compliance with CNSC Regulations and industry standards.
  • Develop and implement Change Management plans as they relate to improvement initiatives. Ensure changes to the program, procedures, and internal standards are properly communicated to Supply Chain and key stakeholders.
  • Acts as a SPOC for internal and external audits and Key Business Process Controls.
  • Create and establish oversight to verify that the standards, expectations, and goals established through the governance are met.
  • Identify Performance gaps for corrective action, monitor the effectiveness of corrective actions, and elevate or escalate issues when necessary.
  • Supports the Department Manager in the development of the Supply Chain excellence plan.
  • Develop and maintain key performance indicators and monitors, benchmarks and communicate performance of the Conduct of Business Program.
  • Perform staff mentoring, coaching and observation, pre-job, and post-job briefs to ensure work is conducted safely, efficiently, and technically accurate.
  • Perform staff Performance Planning and Reviews as per the Supply Chain Excellence Plan and Business Plan.
  • Performs other duties as required.
Knowledge and Skills:
  • Requires a good knowledge of business processing, purchasing, inventory control, transportation logistics, quality management, contract law, demand planning and forecasting, segregation of duties, standard fraud prevention controls, corrective action program, and an understanding of accounts payable and maintenance systems and processes.
  • Requires knowledge of English, both oral and in written form, to communicate effectively with others.
  • Requires experience with the operations of a nuclear facility, including organization, contacts involved, regulations and policies.
  • Requires experience necessary to understand the full scope of duties and responsibilities associated with the function, including experience and understanding of ERP systems and relationship to business processes including the Supply Chain processes.
  • Requires extensive experience of the fundamentals of purchasing, inventory control, transportation and logistics, quality management, contract law, demand planning and forecasting, duties and taxes that impact on the Commercial Services organization as well as other stakeholders.
  • Requires experience in a supervisory capacity to effectively direct the work of the unit.
  • Requires experience supporting Supply Chain software and tools
Education and Experience:
  • This knowledge is considered to be normally acquired through the successful completion of a 4-year university education, or by having the equivalent level of education
  • A period of over 6 years is considered necessary to gain this experience
