Support Worker
Looking for support staff who is flexible, compassionate, proactive, and who can think one step ahead of our Individual.
Someone who is very active, willing to go to the park, skating, bike riding, swimming, movies, car shows, and play basketball with the Individual.
Someone with new ideas as the Client gets bored so quickly and who can engage him, pay close attention, and connect with the client on his level.
Duties:
- Ensure that the individuals' safety and well-being are maintained at all times
- Implement the goals outlined in the Individual Service Plan
- Keep daily documentation of all activities.
- Monitor and report any changes in the client's behavior
- Provide emotional support and companionship to clients
- Follow profile and instructions provided by supervisors
Requirements:
- Previous experience with managing complex needs clients preferred
- Previous experience in a similar role is preferred
- Compassionate and patient with clients
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Reliable and punctual to shift
- Ability to follow instructions and Individual Service Plan accurately
Note: This position require a valid class 5 driving license and $2m liability Insurance

Salary: $17.00-$18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 25 per week

- Evening shift
- Monday to Friday
- On call
- Weekends as needed
Education:
- Secondary School (preferred)
Experience:
- supportive care: 2 years (required)
Language:
- English (required)
Licence/Certification:
- First Aid Certification (required)
- Police clearance with Vulnerability Check (required)
- Child Intervention Check (required)
- Positive behavior support (preferred)
