Reporting to the Manager or delegate, the Supported Child Development (SCD) Administrative Assistant provides administrative support to the Supported Child Development Program and the QA Summer Program and utilizes a variety of specialized software applications at an advanced level to assist with management of purchased services through standardized contracts, budget processes, projections and analysis and SCD authorization inventory control; monitors and reports on various contracts and SCD authorization data; develops and maintains databases and filing systems; performs general clerical and reception duties; explains status, requirements and contracts to families and their caregivers.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education, Training And Experience
Grade 12, graduation from a recognized secretarial program, including successful completion of a recognized accounting course, and five years' recent related experience including one year in a supervisory capacity or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
Skills And Abilities
- Ability to keyboard (55 wpm)
- Proficiency in Excel, Access (spreadsheets and databases)
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to deal with others effectively.
- Demonstrated ability in accounting, budget forecasting and monitoring.
- Demonstrated knowledge of contract management policies and procedures.
- Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position.
- Ability to supervise.
- Ability to organize and prioritize competing demands.
