What You Will Get To Do

Reporting to and under the direction of the Supervisor, Administration – Planning and Development, the Planning Clerk II is responsible for:

  • formatting and editing reports in eScribe for Committee of the Whole, Council and Public Meetings in a timely manner in accordance with Ontario Planning Act legislation;

  • preparing correspondence;

  • meeting AODA requirements;

  • inputting planning applications and related information into the AMANDA system;

  • co-ordinating development agreements;

  • responding to and directing telephone, email and counter inquiries;

  • creating Purchase Orders, receiving and invoice processing in Puridiom;

  • preparing fees for Treasury;

  • stamping and distributing mail;

  • records retention and filing; and

  • other general administrative duties as may be assigned

You love to research and analyze problems: identifying, gathering and processing relevant information to determine possible solutions, evaluate them and make recommendations. What You Bring To Our Team

As the successful applicant, you must possess:

  • a minimum of a two (2) year Community College Diploma in Office Administration or a related program;

  • possess a minimum of two (2) years directly related experience;

  • be proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel), AMANDA and Geocortex; and

  • well-developed keyboarding skills.
